Hello world, this is travelincognito, but you can call me M for mystery or actually for Marie.

Heads up to all that this is a mostly fanfic journal, and will at times contain things for mature audiences only, though I will make sure they are clearly labeled. I'm mostly into comics fandoms, more DC than Marvel but I heart Young Avengers. I also like Harry Potter, Young Wizards, HHG2tG, every major tv sci-fi fandom, and various others that are mostly unheard of. I am quite easily and happily coerced into new fandoms*, so feel free to give suggestions for new ones at any time!

My fanfic can be anything from completely and total crack fic, to fluffly goo, to angst. I generally only publish a small amount of the fic I write, as a majority turns out to be of the complete and total crack variety, and not in a good way. I laugh at myself later, but really, some fic is just not meant to be written. I always appreciate constructive criticism on what I do put up though, so don't be afraid to tell me it sucks, as long as you tell me why!

This post will likely function as my anything-and-everything space, so content in it may come and go with or without notice. If you want to ask/say anything to me, drop me a line in the comments here, and I'll try to get back. Be seeing you.

ETA: I will probably be mostly incommunicando from May to the end of August, due to not being at college but rather back with my paranoid fundamentalist parents, whom I do not want to find my lj.

*Other than Manga, which I've never really been able to get into/understand. You can try anyways, but so far I haven't liked it.  </lj>

A/N: quiet__tiger suggested a sequel in which Tim gets revenge on Dick. Somehow, this is what my brain came up with.
Summary: Sequel/Companion piece to A Crisis of Verification. Robin attends Ladies' Night, but not voluntarily.

Title: A Crisis of Verification
Rating: PG-13 for offensive language & such.
Characters: Bruce, Tim, Bart, Dick, misc. Gotham residents.
Summary: Gossip in the criminal underworld takes an interesting turn. Batman and Robin remain oblivious.
A/N: What, there's even some kind of plot? From this idea? How did that happen? Also: Title and cut text ganked from Jason Harsin's theory of the "rumour bomb".

( A crisis of verification is perhaps the most salient and politically dangerous aspect of rumour. )

Seriously. I have found the best complaint letter ever written. It is both hilarious and scathing. Go read it (Warning: Don't attempt to drink anything while reading.)

The fire alarm in my building went off twice early this morning, the speakers on my laptop broke, I got on the wrong bus and got kind of lost for a while, and I ate something that didn't agree with me and now I feel icky.

To top it all off, I just found out my Mom needs to go in for more surgery before she can start chemo.

I am scratching this day off and going to sleep until tomorrow before anything else can happen.

Summary: Tim and Connor are tired of people setting them up on dates. Perfectly good plans go terribly awry.

Written for the Kon in a New and Interesting Pairing Challenge: I won't spoil it, but I will say I believe this one's fairly unusual.
